What is DHA (docosahexaenoic acid?
DHA is a polyunsaturated fatty acid of the omega-3 series, a fundamental constituent of the cells of the Central Nervous System, essential during development and growth.
The human brain has a high content of fatty acids, of which DHA is the main component. Therefore, an adequate supply of DHA allows optimal neuronal development of the baby, positively influencing cognitive functions, visual acuity and correct growth.
Various studies have shown that the positive effects of dietary supplementation with DHA during the first 2 years of life provide short- and long-term benefits.
Why DHA from algae?
In DHAVit the source of DHA is the seaweed contained in the plankton on which the fish feed.
Algae oil has a higher purity and concentration of DHA than fish oil and is much better tolerated because it is tasteless and odorless.
Vitamin D
It plays an essential role in the regulation of calcium, a fundamental element for the development of bone tissue. IT IS important to provide a correct supply of this vitamin during growth to counteract the danger of rickets and fracture (osteoporosis).
The Spanish Association of Pediatrics recommends supplementation with 400 IU/day of vitamin D to all infants under one year of age who are exclusively breastfed and those who drink less than 1 liter of infant milk per day.
Vitamin A
It is the growth vitamin, its main action is due to its functions in cell duplication.
It is the fundamental component of the visual pigments of the retina.

Counteracts the harmful action of free radicals and protects oxidation.

DHAVit is a food supplement based on Vitamin D, Vitamin A, Vitamin E with DHA from seaweed to ensure an adequate supply of these nutrients in case of deficiency states due to reduced intakes or increased organic needs.
DHAVit presents a dosage and composition adapted to pediatric age. Its excellent tolerance and pleasant aroma and flavor facilitate its acceptance by infants and young children.
DHAVit is a product suitable for gluten-free and dairy-free diets.
Ingredients
Vegetable oil (sunflower), algae oil (Schizochytrium) with a minimum of 40% DHA, vitamin E (dl-alpha-tocopherol acetate, maltodextrin), vitamin A (retinyl palmitate), vitamin D (cholecalciferol).
Dosage
DHAVit is a food supplement that is easy to administer: it comes in drops that can be taken directly in the mouth or diluted in milk, juices, porridge or other foods.
Administer 1 ml (approximately 24 drops) once a day. This dosage may be modified according to the pediatrician's criteria.
Once the bottle is opened, keep it in the refrigerator and consume within a maximum of 4 weeks.
DHAVit should not be taken together with other products that contain vitamin A and/or D in high quantities. This product is a nutritional supplement and does not replace a varied and balanced diet.
